As new parents, finding the right pram or carrier for your newborn can be stressful and often time-consuming. Look for practicality first when deciding to buy. Ask yourself questions about how it may fit in your car, whether it has additional features that can make your life easier, and the cost is always an important factor (but Gimmie makes that easy).

A pram often features a more upright design so your bub can sit up and see the world, while a stroller will be shaped more like a bassinet for smaller newborns. Both types are just as useful as the other and offer their own unique features, but it will depend on which suits your exact needs.

Gimmie offers a number of prams that would suit a newborn. The Cybex Carry Cots offer space and comfort for your little one with their bassinet-like features, so you don’t have to worry about them wiggling around too much. The Gazelle S Carry Cot offers an enclosed bassinet style so you can feel 100% about your baby being secure.

Gimmie’s pram accessories can suit just about any of your needs to match your day-to-day activities. We offer kid boards so your older child can come along for the ride and have fun, as well as rain covers and insect nets to shield your bub from the elements. Or for on-the-go hungry bubs, we offer trays built with a cup holder and snack tray so your baby can snack and relax.

Babies are messy, that’s a given, but there are a few ways you can maintain your pram or carrier and keep them looking schmick. As most new parents would, keeping some baby wipes on you can help reduce stains and mess, or putting down a cloth to create a barrier between your bub and the seat. Always be gentle and take care of your pram or carriers by using gentle chemicals and materials when giving them a clean.

Gimmie’s prams offer a secure and safe design to keep your bub secure. Always ensuring your baby is secured before taking off for the day is essential, but rest assured you can run around and go for a jog while your baby sleeps or watches the world go by. It’s always important to be mindful of your baby’s support and comfort, so jogging can absolutely be done with Gimmie’s prams, but making sure you’re not jolting and jostling your newborn around is important.
